I just bough a Honda accord DX with 27000 & with all the original hoses & brake pads. I have changed the tires already. do i need to change all the hoses, water pump, timing belt and brake pads. I was told these items will be worn by usage not age. what do you suggest.

You would know when it is time to change brakes because they will squel or pulsate while braking. Water pump shouldn't need changed unless it is broken (car would be overheating). You can inspect hoses for cracks but they should be fine too. You should inspect all belts every 30k miles. You should replace timing belt every 100k miles.

I would suggest just inspecting everything and if it isn't broke then don't fix it. None of the components you mentioned will need replacing with only 27k miles on it unless, as I said, they are faulty.
