Engine Performance problem
1996 Honda Accord 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 189 k miles
Original problem was p0401 code, was told to clean ports on intake. This was after checking control selinoid and no vaccum at egr. When applied vaccum to egr engine would not stall and vaccum held. After cleaning ports cranked engine and idled fine but when you accelerate and after deceleration engine stalls. So I capped vaccum from selinoid to egr and engine idles and does not stall any more. Currently driving with out any issues othr than engine light on. But now have trouble code p1491 or 12 trouble code wich leads to vavle lift sensor. Is this becuse of the vaccum line being removed or could it be the VLS, and is there a method to test before I start part changing.
