Air Conditioning problem
1995 Honda Accord 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Can the switch that changes the air flow from the HVAC box be reset. I was a mechanic for dodge for a number of years and on some models the switch with those functions would have to be reset occasionaly

Car started out with A/C system only blowing cold occasionally so I replaced expansion valve reciever/drier and blew the lines out with compressed air with the evaporator dissconnected from the system put everything back together didn't change the compressor because the wrong one came in and vendor had to ship the correct one and because low press. gauge indicated everything to be ok on that side of the system. High pressure side was a little low around 180 psi. so i figured the system possibly had a restriction. Recharged the system and still only cold air every once in a-while a few days later I changed the compressor blowing the lines out once more with everything dissconnected now i can feel 57 degree air at a small opening in the HVAC box but 80 degree air out of the center air vents and 70 degree air out of the two end vents in the dash

Seems you have a probem with the air mix door.

AIR MIX CABLE
At air mix door linkage (bottom right side of heater case), disengage cable housing from clamp and disconnect cable wire from control arm. At heater control panel, select maximum cool position and hold it in this position. At air mix door linkage, reconnect cable wire to control arm. Gently slide cable housing back to eliminate slack, then snap cable housing into clamp.
