I recently had an inspection on the auto and it failed. I was told that it needed a tune-up. Plugs, wires, dist.cap and rotor. This was done and now they are telling me that the car is running to rich! not sure what to do next. The car has been driven about 15 to 20 miles since the tune up. What should I do next? 8/9/08 update. have replaced the air filter and have put fuel system cleaner into gas tank. The emissions was high, should be .71 and was 1.12 and then teh other stat's was 1.32 and should be .73 or somewhere about there. Should I drive the auto for a long time, up to 75 miles and then have it tested? or is there something else I should replace.

I would recommend take it to a shop that is capable of troubleshooting. There are various things that can cause a rich condition, a weak front 02 sensor for example or a bad pressure regulator.

Things like this can be checked with a scope or a fuel pressure gauge that any shop capable of testing will have.
