I have a honda accord, '94 (224,000 mi), automatic and every now and then, when coming to a stop light/sign, the car will putt and sometimes cut completetly off. I've been driving with two feet for about 2 wks (one on the brake, while reving up w/ the other) to keep the car from idling so low. Since the car is so old, many mechanics can't test it on the CPU and Dad thinks I should add gas treatment/fuel injector cleaner once a week. I'm not sure if those things work. Is there a one-time fix for this stalling/stopping problem?

Hi HondaTaz,

Thank you for the donation.

Is the Check engine light showing?

From your dsescription, the idle system is not functioning properly.

Get the throttle body and EACV cleaned and readjust the idling speed and you should be able to resolve the problem.
