When I start the car when it is cool I get a lot of white smoke. This usually disapates after the car is warmed up. I recently had an oil leak from the oil filter o-ring repaired. I thought this was causing the smoke, however the smoking continues. What else may be causing the smoking?

Head gasket leaking coolant into cylinder...ck coolant level...will only get worse. Had Civic ...did the same.

It will permanently damage engine.

I checked, radiator level remains constant. My oil level drops, I think its a seal or gasket leak. I tried leak stopper, it help a little. I'm gonna try replacing the valve seals. What do you think?

Blue smoke= oil burning Blk smoke = excess fuel mixture White smoke= coolant leak in engine Still say it's the head gasket...refilling from expansion tank on cool down..ck the coolant level there.. older cars use oil....it's no big deal,,,,,,,
