i turn car on and it accelerates really high and stays that way on its own

Hi jerry422,

The idling system has a fault and excessive air is getting past the throttle body to increase the idling speed. Check the Fast Idle Thermo Valve, IAC, throttle body and other sources of possible vacumn leakages.

Ensure coolant level is sufficient.
