I was a victum of random vandelism. Please help me repair the damage. A brick was thrown through my window and also smashed driver's seat belt receptor. I found an auto recycler who will sell me the part for cheap, But how do I get the old one off and put the new one on?

Also, I would like to replace the inside door handle as the plastic is cracked and the handle has to held at a certain[img:fb6e926d77]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/200205_car_damage_web_1.jpg[/img:fb6e926d77] angle to get the door to open. I can get a part for $24 from the dealer, but how do I get the old one off and the new one on?

Hi garaystationwagon,

Push the driver seat as far back as possible.

At the base of the seat belt receptor you will find a 17 mm anchor bolt, (under rubber cover) Remove bolt and reinstall new part.

Inner opener has small cap at centre behind puller. Use pointed object to pry it open to gain access to retaining screw.
Remove screw and push assy forward to take off from seat.

Remove door lock switch connector.

Remove metal rod by pushing retaining clip away from locking area.
