Recently I had a new ignition switch and rebuilt alternator put on. Mechanic said he tightened belts real good and added power steering fluid since it was low. He used Honda fluid and did not overfill. On my way home the steering was making a whining sound as if it was really low on fluid. The next morn. I drove a short distance and the engine belt slipped briefly, the whining sound came back and it became hard to steer. I parked the car and later noticed a large wet spot on the ground below where the ps pump, hoses and reservoir are. There was also fluid on top of the reservoir and all around right below it. I added more fluid since it had lost so much. I drove a short distance again and it was quickly making the whining noise and hard to steer. This time I checked the reservoir as soon as I turned off the engine. I took off the cap and saw fluid foaming towards the top. I told my mechanic what was happening and he had only heard of this once before and the problem never got resolved. I've had the car since it was 29000 miles and the only front end work is 2 new front axiles and a right side A-upper arm (ball joint). Hope you can help and thanks.
