1989 Honda Accord thermostat or other?

my car is overheating ie getting hot while sitting running or just driving around town....but once i get to highway driving its fine. would this be anything other than the thermostat?

Hi philosophically2815,

Don't think is the thermostat.

Check and see if the radiators fans are working properly. Both should work together.
