1989 Honda Accord Automatic

i have an 1989 honda accord and when i press on the gas to go it hesitates then it takes off and when i come to a stop or slow down it dies. do you know what it could be?

Hi skingzgurl,

You should be having a problem with the idling speed and there could be a misfiring due to bad spark plugs or wires.

What is the idling speed after warming up?
