Temp guage is not hooked up and broken, how do i locate and fix?

Hi there,
The sender is under the inlet manifold forward of the carny near the thermostat housing, use a mirror and you should see it, just look for a loose wire near there , if you touch it to earth and the temp gauge moves thats it,
