Hi there,

It is a mistake to presume anything with motor cars, check the alternator out put first, report back your findings.

I tested the battery it is showing 11.5 volts with the engine off. With the engine running there are 12.8 volts. I also checked at the back of the alternator it produced the same readings.

Hi there,

The alternator out put is way to low for that battery charge, i would be having it inspected by a auto elect, and get the battery load tested as well,
