Engine Mechanical problem
1986 Holden Commodore 6 cyl Automatic
i have a VL 86 commodore.
symptoms/ sometimes starts and runs like a dream two minutes later, no power when i exalerate chokes and stalls. Then turns over on restart but no ignition. eventualy starts but as soon as i think its fine and take off a few meters, again no power on exaleration and eventualy stalls.
some other odd things i have noticed. Fuel pump sounded like a dieing cow (the buzzing sound sounded like its labouring) i changed the fuel pump and filter (new) thinking its on the way out. After replaceing it i started the car while still jacked up and pump sounded like a dream and car ran like new. Lowered the car removed the jack and test driven it. Lasted a good couple of minutes thinking problem solved and garaged the car. 1 hour later started the car to go out, drove 100 meters and back to the same problem, were i exalerate and no power then stalling. Pump just like the old one sounding funny.
some one advised its the distributor another says its the feeder in the tank. i just want to kick the doors in at the moment lol
