2001 Holden Barina

I would like for someone to be able to answer this question as soon as they possibly can please.

I have a 2001 Holden Barina, and the "Check Engine" warning light has appeared. When I turn the car off, it disappears. It's only appeared twice so far, and each time I have turned it off and the light has gone away. (this has happened in the space time of a week)

I'm currently living in Brisbane where we had pretty bad dust storms recently, and the problem with my car only started after that. Thinking that might have something to do with it? I'm also relocating and have to do a 4 hour drive on Saturday. Wondering if I should still drive the car or not?

Check air filter and clean throttle body and Mass air flow. Any way you can take to a shop and have computer scanned for codes? That would Really help
