Hold light and gear problem

Hold light blinks and the gear shift from the first gear to the third with out passing the second gear and never shifts to fourth gear. Any suggestions? Thanks.

This sounds like you have a clogged catalytic converter which will change the vacuum reading if the engine causing the transmission not to shift to confirm the issue please go over this guide.
