Code P1153, HO2S sensor pin-out, for testing

Hello, this code criteria is Oxygen Sensor B2S1 Insufficient switching. This may not be the heater circuit. But the heater circuit is easy to check. The heater on any oxygen sensor is always going to be the two wires that are the same color. In this case the two brown wires. The color changes after the connector, but back probing the connector with the key on you should have 12 volts on one wire and ground on the other. You can see in the diagram that the Black wire goes to ground. But if there was a problem with the heater circuit you would most likely have a code for that circuit. I'm not sure how far back GM/Chevrolet go with monitoring the heater circuits. Another test you can do is to unplug the oxygen sensor and check resistance across the 2 brown wires. When a heater fails, your meter will read OL. it will be an open circuit. If the heater circuit is okay. Take a reading on the purple wire (sensor plugged in engine running). I think you'll find the sensor voltage is just stuck rich or lean 0.100-0.800volts. You probably just have a bad sensor on Bank 2 up front.
