There is a strange noise coming from what sounds like the rear passenger side wheel (all I can say with any certainty is that it is behind me and to the left).

It is somewhere between and creak and a squeal.

It only seems to happen when the car has been running for a while and I have to come to a stop and start again. It does not happen when I first set off on a journey.

I am fairly certain it is not the brakes as it happens when I am setting off from a stop at e.g. a traffic light as well as when slowing down.
b) I have just tried going backwards and forwards without touching the brake and it still happens.
c) the pad and disc were both recently replaced.

It only happens at low speed (zero to fifteen mph) and only then for a few seconds.

I am stumped. Any ideas?

Have you identified which wheel by jacking up the rear and spinning each wheel and at the same time check for incorrect pad instillation? just to eliminate that from the equation.
