High mount LED brake light replacement

I need to know how to dissasemble (if needed) the light housing and replace the LED bulb(s) or unit. The light is embedded in the spoiler that is part of the station wagon rear hatch.

Hi JLRIGGINSNM,

You need to remove the upper trim from the inside of the hatch. I attached pictures that will help explain this.

Once you remove the trim, there are two nuts that you need to remove. Once those are off, you press the light bar out by pushing the studs out until you can grab the bar from the exterior.

Then you replace and reinstall using a body sealing silicone if the new one doesn't come with a seal. You need to make sure you use something that will seal so water doesn't get through or you will have a leak.
