I just bought this SUV from a Ford dealer. they said it didn't have any leaks but I think I may see one, not sure if it's oil or transmission fluid.

I am now wondering if I bought a lemon buying it with so many miles. Body wise, interior its flawless.

Hi,

Can you tell me what color the leak appears to be? Also, can you tell me approximately where it's located?

As far as a lemon? If it truly was, it wouldn't have this many miles already.

Let me know.

I checked more and it appears to be oil. passenger side. The other thing is when at idle and I get down by the front passenger tire I can hear a tick, tick, tick... nothing too loud.. not sure if they has anything to do with it or not.

A slight tick really isn't out of the ordinary on many vehicles. Unless it gets loud and turns into a knock. Is it loud enough for you to record it and upload it for me to hear? If it is, do that. It'll help me identify what it could be.

Also, if you are seeing oil on the right side of the vehicle (passenger side), it is likely a leak from the engine oil pan. Confirm the oil level hasn't gone down in the engine.

Let me know what you find. One other thought. If you can get a pic of where the leak is approximately coming from, I should be able to give you a better answer. If you get down near here the mark is on the driveway, look up in that area to see if there is an indication of where it may be coming from. Also, a pic would be great.

Let me know.
