Replaced the spark plugs and rocker arm assembly cleaned mafs, to get to plugs had to remove air intake and coil on plugs. I started it had high idle then it would go down and fluctuate up and down some popping and backfire. When I installed rocker arm assembly I made sure engine was on tdc. What would be the best way to repair this problem.

try driving it as the computer has to get used to new plugs if it doesn't straighten out then scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge

if th parts tested good check for air leaks like the duct work leading to engine with holes in it or not sealed correctly to engine or after maf and check all grommets on engine causing an air leak as well. then use choke cleaner and spray around intake and hoses for a vacuum leak. lastly as you removed intake it may have destroyed a gasket causing your problem so check that.
