High fuel consumption, 7kms per liter.
Sluggish acceleration and low engine power even at level ground and slow speeds, engine jerks.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Many things can cause low power and high fuel consumption. With that, can you tell me if the check engine light is staying on while the engine is running? If it is, the first thing you should do is scan the computer for diagnostic trouble codes. Here is a quick video showing how that is done:

I realize most don't own a scanner, but that should really be done.

Now, as I mentioned, many things can cause this. Components such as fuel pressure, regulator, plugged catalytic converter, need for a tune up, plugged air filter, and so on can all be a cause. That is why I recommend the scan. However, here are some links that you may find helpful. They relate to the things I mentioned and how to check them.

Let me know if any of this helps or if you have other questions. If the check engine light is staying on and you have it scanned, let me know the codes you get and I'll be able to fine tune what you should be checking.

Take care,
Joe
