A few days ago, I was pulling into a local convenience store, when my truck shut off suddenly, as if it had run out of gas. My fuel gauge isn't so accurate, so I figured maybe I whoopsied it... Only upon putting gasoline in, I realized that wasn't the case. It has gas.
A short history of running a little 'weird' when idling down the road around 30-40, not giving it much gas lead me to believe it was my plugs, distributor cap, rotor, or possibly my ignition coil. Anything resembling bad got replaced. That is to say, by diagnosis, all of them (except the plugs they were alright but not perfect).
The only things my moderately experienced self can conceive of is either the distributor itself isn't functioning, or the crankshaft position sensor is bad. This is where it gets weird...
I can't find it. Anywhere. I've found diagrams saying it should be behind the harmonic balancer at around the 7 o'clock position, or behind/beside the starter itself (I did find something there but it's not the sensor, from what I can tell. Single wire (now, I think,) only).
I'm about to take my hair out as this is my only way to get to and from work. Please someone help!
I think you in advance. You guys are great.
