stopped put in park and it kept rolling

I was driving out of my yard, stopped put in park and it kept rolling. When I put in park or drive just clicks. In reverse or drive car will not move.

Sounds like the shifter cable is broken or has become disconnected. Have a helper move the shift lever while you watch under the hood to see if the cable and lever move at the same time.

This is the best photo I could find. The cable and lever are on the driver's side, closer to the front of the engine. If the cable is working properly, it will not be hard to see it move.
