FRONT WHEEL abs SENSOR INPUT NOT READ?

The speed sensors are bolted into holes on the front side of the wheel hubs. You jack up the vehicle, the remove the wheel/tire and with it out of the way you will see the speed sensor and the bolt that retains it. You will also see it's harness and the connector. I would open the connector first, they have a bad habit of getting corroded and not making connection. If it looks OK then remove the clips and the harness down to the sensor. Then remove the bolt. GENTLY pull straight out on the sensor while twisting it just a little. With it out, put a plug in the opening (I wrap something around the sensor and stuff it back in. Now clean off and crud or rust from the mounting surface and apply paint or a bit of grease to the surface. Remove the plug and install the new sensor. Torque the bolt to 8 ft lb (just snug) Route the cable and attach it to the vehicle and plug it in. Put the wheel back on, let it down and go for a drive and see if the code clears on it's own.
