Shut off while driving, transmission will not move in any gear

I pulled out of a drive way was going about 20 mph and accelerating and it shut off. I came to a stop and put it in park restarted the motor, went to put in gear it would not move in any gear.

So the engine runs now after stalling or? It sounds like you may have had a transmission issue that stalled the engine like a torque converter locked up and then failed? Can we run he codes to see what comes up that will help us see what is going on? Here is a guide to help us get started:
