heater hose blew off fitting @ rear of intake. replaced thermostat, re-installed hose w/ new clamps. When hose came off, engine began loosing power. DID NOT OVERHEAT! shifted out of o/d and has lots of power. in o/d, begins loosing power around 35 mph. no throttle response as long as o/d engaged. turn off o/d plenty of response and power. NO CK ENGINE LIGHT!!! possible coolant fowled electronics?????

scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge first. Auto parts rent it

no codes..assume fuel pressure OK since plenty of power when not in o/d. on way home from getting scan, same heater hose blew off again. no indication of overheating. within last 2 weeks, had new cats ,02 sensors replaced (to pass emmisions test). doing fine 'till 2days ago.after hose blew off first time, problem w/power while in o/d began.checked new thermostat yesterday--working . what could be causing enough pressure to cause hose to blow off???

a partial blockage or head gasket can cause hose to blow off check fuel pressure never assume anything especially with no codes make sure all vacuum lines are connected as well.this pretty much sounds like it needs to be physically looked at locally
