Heater not blowing hot air?

Hi,

Is the engine temperature reaching operating temperature? If not, you may need to replace the thermostat.

Next, with the engine warm, turn the heater on high and allow it to operate for a few minutes. Shut the engine and feel both of the heater core hoses. Both should be hot. The return will be slightly cooler but not much.

If they are both lukewarm, then coolant isn't circulating properly in the heater core. When you flush it, does it flow properly? Did you backflush it as well?

If both hoses are hot, then we need to check the blend door actuator for operation. The blend door actuator is what determines what temperature the air entering the vehicle is. It is located under the dash.

Here is one more link you may find helpful. Note, it does discuss blend air door actuators. Some are electric and others vacuum-operated. The ones on your vehicle are electric.
