The blend door actuator on the passenger side has been replaced.
The new one is working, but I still do not get anything but cold air on the passenger side. The driver side is working okay.

Hi Jamey,

I would remove the passenger's side blend door actuator and with the car warmed up move the pivot by hand to see if you can get the temperature to change if not the heater plenum will need to be removed and disassembled because the door itself is broken. This guide can help you see what I am talking about to move the pivot:

Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.

Thank you for your response. Yes, I did that, already. The blend door moves freely. Everything looks as though it is working properly. It still does not warm up on the passenger side, though even after the heater gets hot. Is there more than one blend door actuator that would affect the passenger side on a 2008 Taurus?

I can also hear the blend door moving properly as I change from floor/defrost, etc.

I am wondering if the mode actuator would cause this issue. If not, the plenum door flap inside must be broken. Here is the location of the mode actuator to see if it is working. There is only one heater core so if one side is hot the other side should be as well if the blend door is working correctly. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what you find.

Okay, thanks. I'll check that out. I printed out the diagram and it looks pretty straight forward and appears to be a simple enough job.I have to have my son-in-law help me with this because I am limited in my mobility and he has been ill with the flu, so it may be a few days or so before I can respond again. We will do the test on this one like the other one to see if it is working before, we would replace it. I checked that part, and it is less than $30.00 from Ford. I really appreciate your help. Thank you, Ken.
