Heater not getting hot

Hi,

It could be the heater core is clogged a good way of telling is to warm up the motor and with the engine not running locate the heater hoses under the hood rear the engine where they go through and into the car. Being very careful not to get burnt check the hoses they should both be hot. If only one is hot the heater core is clogged with debris try to flush the heater core (careful depressurize the cooling system first antifreeze can severely burn you) by removing the hoses and forcing water through the heater core with a garden hose. If you can't get water to flow freely the heater will need replaced. If they are both hot you have problem with the heater controls inside the car.
