Heat distribution floor flows heat-good defrost?

Three mode selections - floor flows heat-good defrost flows good, also. Mix - flows floor and defrost good Is heat supposed to come out of dash vents? ever? Never does heated air come out of dash vents. Is this correct?

Yes, heat should come out of the dash vents. It sounds like the panel actuator is unplugged or has gone bad. I would turn the system on and check for vacuum at the actuator, then work the control arm by hand to see if you can get heat out from the dash vents and if so, replace the actuator. Here is the location. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
