After replacing a broken timing belt the car will not start?

I replaced the timing belt on my vehicle listed above since it had broken off. I tried to turn on the car and wouldn’t start. They said my heads could be the problem, but I also had to check if the pistons were good, and the valves. Is there anything else I would need to check also when purchasing a kit? What should I make sure the kit comes with before purchasing?

Hi,

The engine on this vehicle should be a single overhead cam engine. If that is the case, the engine is not an interference engine.

Therefore, there shouldn't be any damage to the cylinder head, valves, or pistons. What I need you to do is this. Replace the timing belt and then check to see if there is good engine compression when it is back together. If it is, things should be fine, and no further repairs needed.

I attached the directions below for replacing the timing belt. Make sure when you reinstall the new one that all marks are positioned correctly. Also, take a look through the directions and let me know if you have questions.
