Head lights flash until warmed up

My trucks headlight and assume taillight flicker and some light flicker for about 10min or until truck warms up I put new battery but it still does it any useful info could help thanks just annoying to see it and I am sure oncoming traffic hates it.

you should get the charging system tested especially for a diode test. most parts houses will do it but don't take everything they say to heart if they immediately try to just sell you something

it sounds like the alternator. the diodes inside separate positive from negative. there are six and if one or two are bad you get uneven amounts of one or the other causing flicker especially when you first start the car and the charging system is recharging from sitting and starting. always check for tight connections on grounds and positives anytime an electrical problem is happening

Ok thanks so much I will check everything tomorrow and let you know what I find the truck sat for a few because my grandpa couldn't drive it anymore then he gave it to me

in that case then you should take off the battery cables and clean the ends until theyre shiny. sitting causes that fuzzy green corrosion to build up between the cable end and contacts where you can see or clean unless you take it off
