Replaced my headlamps with 6000K - Lightning Blue. Galaxy Series: 55W AC Canbus Ballast HID
in 2016
in 2021 my alternator went out.
replaced my alternator with OEM.
the car also has a new battery
My car has a intermittent problem,
when I turn the lights on, my car almost shuts off.
All light on the dash light up.
I never turn them while driving.
It could happen every time or once a day.
I have been to 4 different mechanics, and no answers.
They believe the ballast are fine.
I have talked to lighten places and they said they have never heard of HID lamps, killing a car.
Please help before I burn my computer out
My next step is a place that specialize in car electronics

I've seen aftermarket lamps shut a car down because they go bad and feed a signal into the electronics that causes problems. I would do a simple test, disconnect the HID lights and the ballasts and see if anything changes. Next would be to test the charging system to see if there is a large draw when the problem happens. Being an intermittent you would need to use a data logging device unless you can determine a pattern for it.
