Head gasket replacement

can you tell me which head goes on what side or does it matter? Had valve job done on blow head gasket. Also, it had no manifold gasket on it near the head do I put some there or not?

unless there is a gasket in kit the manifold is machined to fit head. heads can go on either side. clean threads of bolts then put sealer on threads not tape. torque heads in sequence in two steps 50 ft first the 105 second. See picture.
