Head gasket replacement

I've recently had a number of issues which I've had fixed: as blue sensor, exhaust filter, fuel filter, thermostat housing (due to sensor not working and warped plastic resulting in a leak), recon's fuel filter and 4 new injectors. It has now just been discovered there is air in the system.
I have a couple of questions:
1. In your opinion do you just need to sort the cylinder head or would it be best to check the whole of the engine, due to other parts breaking down due to wear and tear?
2. Do you need to remove the engine to be able to get into and work on the cylinder head?

Hello,

No, you do not need to remove the entire engine to replace the head gasket. You can purchase a head gasket set from any auto parts store and it will come with all the gaskets needed to replace the head gasket and any other components with gaskets that need to removed. A good guide to see how your vehicle's internal engine components are doing is the condition of your vehicle's spark plugs and a compression test, but since your vehicle's head gasket is blown, a compression test won't work here. Inspect each of your spark plugs and what you are looking for is a white/grayish clean burnt looking electrode. I have included a diagram of different spark plugs and what is going on with them in the diagrams down below. I hope this helps.
