Hard to start, code P0301

Ran hot about one week now. very hard to start have to pat pat pat hard for it to start. just brought think temperature stat was unhooked, put on AutoZone check gauge read code P0301.

Hello,

Direct Trouble Code (DTC) P0301 is a code for a misfire in cylinder number one. Check the ignition system first for this DTC. In the diagrams down below I have included information on how to test your vehicles ignition coil and spark plugs. I have also included a few links below for you to go to.
