Hard to start and when it does start, it will squeal for a few seconds.

It sounds like a couple different problems. First, the squeal sounds like the serpentine belt is loose. I have attached a picture of the belt. The belt that has a gen in it is the one of question. Make sure it is tight.
Next, a hard start can be many issues. First, when was the vehicle last tuned up? Also, have you checked to make sure there is not a problem with fuel pressure drop-off? Here is a video that will help you check fuel pump pressure and drop-off:
