About a week ago I was accelerating to pass a vehicle when suddenly my transmission dropped straight to first and revved up to 4000 rpm and it did not want to come out of first. But if I let the rpm raise in between 28 and 3500 rpm and let my foot off slightly it will shift out of first. Could it be the valve body shift solenoids or is it time to rebuild the transmission?
