Hard steering

I have a Kia Care with 143,000 KM. I was on vacation for more than outside the country and I did not drive the car during this. After I came back I find the steering wheel is so hard in the both sides, and the EBS warning light is on. When I checked the mechanic told me that I have to change full of the steering machine.Is the there any other solution to repair it? Or do I have to change it?

Is the EBS light the ABS light by chance?

Okay, turns out it is the same thing which nine time out of ten is a wheel speed sensor. You can use this guide or watch this video to find out which one it is (there are 4 ).

It is EBS not ABS
What you sent is about ABS
My problem is about steering not about brakes
