My car shifts hard once the car is warmed up after approximately 20 minutes of driving. At times it slips once in it's hard shift. This also occurs again once the car is warm when i put the car in reverse. Doesn't not do it if i'm cruising highway speeds. It shifts normal if the car is cold. It has done this for awhile but the problem seems to have gotten worse.

Good morning,

Can or did you have the system checked for any codes? If it is electronic, it will set a codes.

How long since you changed the fluid and filter? The filter may be partially clogged with debris.

This issue sounds like something in the valve body. I attached some possibilities for you as well.

HI Roy, i have owned the car for 3 years. I have not changed the fluid. It says it's suppose to be for life but i heard that isn't the case. No check engine light is on. I have a simple scanner the cheap $30.00 one i can plug it in and check. Although i haven't had it professionally looked at. The last time i took the car for a dealer it was for an Airbag and Wheel Clock when they checked the car but no mention of any other codes. This was about 3 months ago.

Okay, no fluid is forever.

It is a 50,000 service. That goes for power steering and brake fluid as well.

I would start with changing the fluid.
