Hard brake pedal

Problem started yesterday. The brake pedal almost seemed like it was stuck at the top, but if you pushed hard, it resisted for about the first quarter of an inch and then freed up and worked like normal and stopped the truck fine. Today it is hard to push the whole way, but it does stop the truck, you just have to use a lot more pressure than normal.

Sounds as if the booster has failed, but to prove a point, hold pressure on the brake pedal and have someone crack open a bleeder, if the pedal goes down easily, i would suspect a booster or vacuum check valve failure. if still binding, look at the pedal pivots, just make sure that the bleeder is closed off before lifting the pedal so no air is drawn into the system.
