bought this car and been fixing whatever is needed. Changed front 2 tires as they were halfway there and there was front shaking around 40 and up. Even with new tires, it still shakes. Checked mounts and transmission mount is shop, also driver side cv axle. Will replace those. Also found broken sway bar link and noise from the passenger side strut spring. You can move it by hand, and it makes a noise, so I ordered a set. All of a sudden when pulling it into the garage the brake pedal became hard. Checked hose on the vac pump which goes from vac pump to booster and you could push it in and out slightly so removed it and it had 2 o rings, changed them and snapped hose back and now its tight, tried pedal and it gets better sometimes while in garage and other times gets hard. Vacuume pump looks shiny not sure if been replace before.

When the brake pedal is hard to push are the brakes locked up? If not it sounds like the booster is going bad or the vacuum pump stopped working, I would start the engine with the vacuum line removed from the booster to see if there is vacuum and try to see how much, it should be enough to refill the booster quickly. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Makes sense. I was thinking maybe the check valve is acting up, is that a possibility too?
