Hard and Bumpy Suspension

i feel it has a very hard suspension / shocks. Whereas i know that American cars are very comfortable.
Why i am not getting comfort like old Crown Victoria.
Is it good to have stiff suspension / Bumpy suspension?

have this checked at the dealer it may be a performance suspension giving the hard ride.
