I have a hairline crack in my transfer case, that is leaking a good amount of fluid. Will putting jb weld on the area stop the leak?

Good evening.
JB Weld may work temporarily but due to expansion and contraction, it will fall off.
My question is why did it crack? It may have run low in oil and overheated the case.
The proper repair would be to replace the transfer case with a good used unit to be sure it lasts.
Can you post a picture of the crack?

Try the JB weld. It should hold for about an inch crack.
You may need to replace it over time from it cracking off but it will save you the expense of replacing the trans-axle assembly.
