Leans to driver side front, idles rough only while brakes being applied

Leans to the drivers side front. measure from ground to fender is one inch difference in front,1/2 inch in rear. brand new factory shocks. looked at bump stops. Both seem okay. nether is touching the bottom, but the DS is closer to the bottom than the PS.
how do I make it ride level?

Runs great. no check lights. when stopping at light or while in park and applying brakes car idles rough, the idle smooths out if brake pedal release. new air filter. what could this be?

Good morning,

Shocks do not hold a car up or determine the level of the car. they are there to stabilize the suspension while driving.

The springs are what determines the ride height and level. in your case, you have torsion bars in the front and they are adjustable. I attached a picture for you to view.

I suggest you take it to a shop and have them level the truck and then align it. when you adjust the torsion bar, the geometry will change and that is why it needs to be re aligned.

it is an easy process to do.

As far as the rough idle, it sounds like the brake booster assembly is putting a lot of pressure on the power steering pump and the engine is reacting by running rough. I would have the pressure tested in this unit to be sure it is working correctly. a future failure of the power steering pump may result.
