Grinding or banging while acceleration

Intermittent grinding or banging while acceleration. Only occurred three times, once from a stop. Once while making left turn and once while getting on freeway. Thinking either rear end or transmission. Your thoughts?

This sounds like the engine torque mount is out and needs to be replaced. Lift the hood and with the engine running have someone watch the engine to check for excessive movement when the transmission is put into drive then reverse.
