A few weeks back I noticed my car was making a kind of grinding noise while driving. It doesn't do it all the time and I can't seem to find any sort of pattern to it. Generally it happens whilst I'm driving normally around 20 mph or so but can happen whilst going slower/faster. Sometimes it won't do it at all as far as I can tell. You can hear it over the wind in the video. It starts at about 3/4 seconds and then is intermittent throughout. You can hear the noise inside the car and it gets louder when you open a window. It sounds as if it's coming from the front passenger side.
I've checked for anything loose under that car and I can't see anything. My first thought was possibly a wheel bearing or something around that area. I jacked the car up and gave the wheel a wobble and checked everything around there and can't notice anything obvious. I don't want to bother with changing the bearing if it isn't that. Any help would be great.
I'm a mechanical engineer so I'm pretty good with hands on stuff but cars aren't my area of expertise.
