Whenever I turn my wheels hard to the left or right I hear a grinding noise coming from the area of the power steering pump. After I turn the wheels a few times and cut the engine off the cap on the power steering pump pops off and the power steering fluid foams up all over the engine.

I took it over to my local advance auto parts and they recommended replacing the power steering pump. I put a new pump, a new pump cap, and a new serpentine belt on the car and it did the exact same thing. I've check it multiple times and have made sure not to overfill it with power steering fluid.

I'm out of ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

have a local pro look at it not an auto parts. sounds like a blockage in system. it's building up way to much pressure.
