Got spark. Fuel it cranks over but wont start

The engine wants to start. My father n law. Says thiers spark. Fuel and air compressoion. Something about crankshaft position sensor. Is thier a way to find out before he get into the engine

scan for codes first and check fuel pressure with a gauge auto parts rent it. do this prior to anything then try to reset security system if no manual look online for your car for reset.
